1. Animal for autopsy One group of pigs in a large-sized swine farm (Chun-Seup Ro, +82-011-654-6638), which is located at Jangmun-Ri, Gobu-Myeon, Jeongup City, Chollabook-Do, Korea), had been supplied with the DM-bio functional water, and the other group with the conventional clean water. They were about 150 days-old, about 110kg in body weight and were all still virginal. Supply of the DM-bio-functional water started from the age of 70 days after birth and had continued for a total period of 80 days.
2. Autopsy method Two female pigs were autopsied. One of the two was from the DM-bio functional water group and the other one from the conventional water group as a control. Autopsy was carried out after making fall unconscious by sudden blowing the occipital area of head. By swiftly cutting carotid artery, pigs were bled enough. Through the midline incision, all of the intra-peritoneal and thoracic organs and tissues were grossly examined with great care. When necessary, gross findings were photographed with a digital camera. The organs include liver, spleen, kidneys, pancreas, stomach, intestine, lung and genital organs. After the careful gross examination, all internal organs and tissues from the two pigs were dissected out and photographed in the same field to compare one another in detail.
3. Results
1) Liver (Fig. 1) Livers of two pigs were quite normal in external findings. There were no recognizable pathological lesions in them. But the liver of the DM-bio functional individual was more or less small but taut and bright in general tinge, compared to that of conventional water individual.

Fig. 1. Livers of pigs supplied by the conventional water (right) and the DM-bio functional water (left). The liver of the DB-bio functional water individual is brighter and had more elasticity, compared to that of the conventional water individual. But that of the DM-bio functional water individual was smaller in size.
2) Stomach and intestine (Fig. 2) Stomach grossly showed no obvious difference between two pigs. But intestine was brighter in general tinge and flusher, compared to that of the conventional water individual. In addition elasticity was much better in the intestine of the DM-bio functional water individual.

Fig. 2. Intestines of pigs supplied by conventional water (right) and DM-bio functional water (left). Intestine of the DB-bio functional water individual is flusher and had more elasticity, compared to those of conventional water individual.
4) Lungs (Fig. 3) Many black spots, which are suspected as inflammatory traces, were found in the lungs of conventional water individual. To the contrary, lungs of the DM-bio functional group was very clean. But it is necessary further to pursue if black spots in the lungs are of inflammatory origin or not.

Fig. 3. Lungs of pigs supplied by the conventional water (right) and the DM-bio functional water (left). Lungs of the DB-bio functional water individual was very clean, compared to those of conventional water individual which had many black spots suspected as traces of inflammation.
4) Uterus and ovaries (Fig. 4. Fig. 5) The most drastic difference between two groups was on the gross findings of uterus, uteric horns and their associated ovaries. Both uterus and uteric horns were much smaller in size and their diameter, much better in elasticity in the DM-bio functional individual. In addition they were flusher in the DM-bio functional group. Ovaries seemed to be healthier in the DM-bio functional water individual, whereas those of the conventional water individual had cystic lesions in them.

Fig. 4. Uterus and its horns with associated ovaries of pigs supplied by the conventional water (right) and the DM-bio functional water (left). Uterus and it horns of the DB-bio functional water individual are remarkably small in diameter and flusher in general tinge, compared to those of conventional water individual.

Fig. 5. Ovaries of pigs supplied by the conventional water (right) and the DM-bio functional water (left). Ovaries of the DB-bio functional water individual seem to be healthier and smaller in size, compared to those of conventional water which are larger and cystic.
